Part 2 : The Scandal of the "Watchers," the Giants, and the Teachings of Lord Jesus

While Enoch was transforming into the Archangel Metatron in the heavens, a dark chapter was unfolding upon the earth. It began with a mysterious passage in the Bible (Genesis 6:1-4) where the "sons of God" found the "daughters of men" beautiful and desirable.
While the Bible is brief regarding these details, the Book of Enoch provides a full account of the scandal that altered the course of human history.
1. The Descent of the "Watchers" (The Grigori)
According to ancient texts, there was a group of angels known as the Watchers (or Grigori). Their original mission was to observe and guide humanity from above. However, as they watched, they became captivated by the beauty of mortal women.
Led by the angels Samyaza and Azazel, 200 of these Watchers gathered upon Mount Hermon. They entered into a solemn blood pact: they would abandon their holy stations in heaven to materialize and take human wives, even though they knew this was a grave act of rebellion against God.
2. "Forbidden Knowledge" and the Birth of the Nephilim
They did not descend merely for love; they brought with them the sacred secrets of the universe that were not yet meant for ancient man to know. While Azazel taught the art of making weapons and warfare, other Watchers opened the human mind to the mysteries of the cosmos.
According to the 8th chapter of the Book of Enoch, specific angels taught various forms of cosmic knowledge:
Kokabiel (or Kakabel): Taught the constellations and the secrets of the stars.
Baraqiel: Taught the art of Astrology and the reading of astrological charts.
Akibeel: Taught the signs and the movements of the earth.
But why was this considered "Forbidden Knowledge"? In the realm of deep spiritual astrology, the stars and planets were originally created by God as a massive "clock" or energetic grid to maintain universal balance (as stated in Psalm 19:1, "The heavens declare the glory of God"). Every soul possesses its own Astro-Signature or divine blueprint.
The sin of the Watchers was giving humanity the "cheat codes" of the universe. Because of Baraqiel’s teachings, ancient humans learned how to read their fates, manipulate planetary energies for personal power, and circumvent their karma. Instead of using Astrology for spiritual evolution and aligning with the Will of God, it was used for greed, witchcraft, and the control of others.
The knowledge of Astrology was a high-level science intended exclusively for the celestial realms. When the Watchers handed it over to ego-driven mortals, the world fell out of balance.
But wait... before we proceed, we must address a massive logical and theological hole: Is it actually possible for angels to marry and have children?
3. The Teachings of Lord Jesus: Why Did the Church Reject This Story?
This is where a brilliant analysis comes in—one that is often missed by theology students. Did Lord Jesus ever teach that angels could materialize physical bodies to desire humans?
The answer is: No. In fact, the very words of Jesus became the primary weapon used by the Church (and figures like St. Augustine) to dismiss the Book of Enoch as heresy or false teaching.
When Jesus was questioned about the afterlife, His answer was very clear:
"For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven." — Matthew 22:30
If the angels in heaven are pure spirits with no capacity to reproduce, how could they sire Nephilim children? According to official Church doctrine, angels do not possess physical DNA.
Consequently, the Church developed the "Sethite Theory." This theory claims that the "sons of God" in Genesis were not angels, but rather the righteous descendants of Seth (the son of Adam and Eve) who married the "wicked" women from the lineage of Cain.
4. Interdimensional Travel and Literal Interpretation
However, what if Jesus’ teaching applied to the angels who remained in heaven, while the case was different for those who rebelled?
As we have discussed, "heaven" is not just a collection of clouds; it is a higher dimension. An angel's wings are not literal bird wings, but symbols of their ability to traverse time and space (interdimensional travel/teleportation). The Watchers who descended used their power to manipulate physical matter and form an "avatar" or physical body. Because of this, they were able to disobey, and because of this, they were destined to be imprisoned beneath the earth as punishment.
The corrupting influence of the Watchers and the devastation caused by the giant Nephilim forced the Archangels to plead for God's intervention. The solution? A massive global cleansing.
But was this decision made by a single God, or was it discussed in a "Council of Ancient Gods" as a literal "Flood Control Project"?
